Defender Water & Mold Restoration is led by Tra Griffin who brings a level of discipline, leadership, and operational excellence that is rare in the restoration industry.
After his military service, he built a career leading and scaling organizations. He spent years running sales and operations for a national fitness franchise, advised business owners as a consultant, and later served as COO of a property management company overseeing thousands of homes and millions in annual revenue.
That background matters—because restoration isn’t just about tools and equipment. It’s about systems, standards, and execution.

How do I know if I have a mold problem?

Crawl space mold often has no visible signs from inside the home — a professional inspection is the only reliable way to confirm it. However, signs would include that strange musty odor and even high humidity issues in the home.
How long does mold remediation take?
Most residential jobs will vary based on levels of contamination. We will always provide you a timeline on completion.
Does homeowners insurance cover mold remediation?
Coverage depends on the cause. Mold from a sudden covered event like a burst pipe is typically covered. Mold from long-term moisture is usually excluded. Defender provides thorough documentation to support insurance claims when applicable.
